Turkish LGBT rights organisation Kaos GL said on Wednesday that Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs had used hate speech against LGBT people while answering questions on homosexuality on Turkey’s official web-portal.  The directorate said that homosexuality was not natural and did not have a biological basis when answering a question on what should be done for LGBT people facing discrimination in mosques.  The Directorate also said that homosexuality was one of the greatest sins and invited LGBT people to consult medical treatment in case it could be helpful.  “LGBT is usually a term used to define the struggle for the rights of homosexual people. But in fact this is not a struggle for rights, it is a struggle for the wrong,” Diyanet said of LGBT organisations.
