Transgender Americans have a more “hopeful” emotional state following President Joe Biden’s decision to exit the presidential election, according to a new poll by LGBT health organization Folx. Among LGBT individuals surveyed by the group, 68% reported feeling “more hopeful” than before Biden dropped out. Hopefulness among transgender individuals rose by 34% after Biden’s exit. However, a whopping 92% continue to feel “anxious” about the election, a figure that is unchanged from prior to Biden’s exit. Pollsters noted enthusiasm and hopefulness among LGBT voters as a whole still “remain low.”
