As one of the first big name speakers on the first night of the Republican National Convention, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) delivered a speech that started off somberly in references to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but quickly went into some of the red meat rhetoric that is her specialty. “For far too long, the establishment in Washington has sold us out,” Greene said. “They promised unity and delivered division. They promised peace and brought war. They promised normalcy and gave us Transgender Visibility Day on Easter Sunday,” Greene said. Then she added, “And let me state this clearly, there are only two genders. And we are made in God’s image. Amen.”
