Pride House Tokyo 2020 to open for Olympics

A pop-up venue will open in Tokyo to raise awareness of sexual minorities for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Unity in diversity is one of the principles of the Tokyo Games. Pride House Tokyo 2020 will open in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district in mid-April for five months. It will feature displays on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history. The organizers also plan to invite LGBT athletes to give talks. A similar space was set up in Tokyo when Japan hosted the Rugby World Cup last year. The Pride House Tokyo Consortium say they would like to provide more information about the LGBT community and create a legacy of diversity.
