Inspirational LGBTI talk avoids China censors and goes viral

More than one million people in China have watched an online inspirational talk about LGBTI rights despite a government ban on homosexual content.Ah  Qiang of PFLAG China discussed ’the power of being yourself’ at a Ginkgo Foundation talk in Beijing last month. He was the first LGBTI speaker to present at the foundation’s regular presentations by NGO and civil society speakers. Guangzhou-based Ah Qiang revealed the ‘double standards’ of society’s attitude towards LGBTI people. He explained that everyone deserved the right to live their truth. A video of his presentation has now gone viral online.
