Hi – I’m Maggie Perry, a 15-year-old trans girl who lives in Central Queensland, and I work for 6NewsAU, a news channel run entirely by teenagers like me. I’m an election reporter who’s followed by politicians, I’ve been featured on podcasts and had the chance to write for multiple news outlets. Every election, I go live with my friend (and boss) Leonardo Puglisi, who’s just 16, to cover election results as they come in. In the meantime, I write digestible threads that analyse the results of past and future elections, and I absolutely love it!
