Di Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja for Nigeria say one document wey Pope Francis approve regarding blessing of same sex couples don dey misinterpreted. Di document wey di Vatican release on Monday allow priests to bless same-sex and “irregular” couples, under certain circumstances. Di announcement bin dey seen as a historic shift for d position of di Catholic Church regarding same sex unions. However, inside interview with BBC, Cardinal John Onaiyekan say despite pressure to conform, di position of di Catholic Church never change, and dem no go bless same sex marriage. For one document wey di pope approve and issue on 18 December, di Vatican bin declare say priests dey permitted to bless same-sex and “irregular” couples under certain circumstances.
